Cheree M. Sims, M.Ed.

Cheree M. Sims, M.Ed, Psychology Associate, earned her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Howard University. She is currently working toward the conferral of her PsyD in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Cheree has spent 6 years working at an outpatient mental health clinic in Cheverly, MD and Washington, DC where she provided therapy for clients from low socioeconomic backgrounds and also supervised a team of behavioral support staff. She has 3 years of experience supervising staff members at a hotline for people who have experienced sexual assault in the United States military. Prior to joining The Bethesda Group, Cheree completed her predoctoral clinical internship in Arlington, VA where she primarily provided DBT and CBT for adolescents and adults.
In her clinical work, Cheree employs DBT and CBT principles, while also incorporating psychodynamic principles. In addition to therapy, Cheree provides psychological assessment services.
