Lauren has also spent time working as a Clinical Social Worker at the University of Michigan Hospital, where she provided psychosocial support to patients living with Cystic Fibrosis and other chronic and terminal illnesses. Here, Lauren gained particular experience with issues pertaining to adjustment, distress tolerance, reality acceptance, co-morbid conditions, end of life, grief and loss, and chronic pain. Lauren is trained in the evidence-based provision of DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. She specializes in the use of DBT and Mindfulness practice to support clients struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and difficulty with emotion regulation and interpersonal relationships.
