Mariely Gonzalez, Psy.D.

Dr. Gonzalez received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Carlos Albizu University in Puerto Rico.

Dr. Gonzalez completed her pre-doctoral internship at an out-patient practice in Arlington, VA. During her internship training, Dr. Gonzalez acquired experience working with chronic suicidality, self-harm, trauma, and overcontrolled disorders.

She has experience working with adolescents, adults and families in both individual and group settings and has a special interest in treating people with mood, anxiety, and personality disorders, and working with people who engage in self harm behaviors and are chronically suicidal. Dr. Gonzalez has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), DBT-PE, and Radically Open DBT. She has been intensively trained in DBT by Behavioral Tech/Linehan Institute.

Dr. Gonzalez is bilingual and can conduct psychotherapy in both English and Spanish.
