Rachel Yutzy, LCSW-C, is a licensed clinical social worker. She started her career in the mental health field during her undergraduate studies, while she obtained her bachelors of social work. During this time, Rachel completed internships both domestically and internationally, working with veterans, survivors of war crimes, and the families of those impacted by trauma. She earned her masters degree in clinical social work from Bryn Mawr College, Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. While there, Rachel was introduced to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and the incredible success of this modality.
Prior to joining The Bethesda Group, Rachel worked as a psychotherapist, specializing in grief, trauma, and traumatic loss. Rachel has expertise in a myriad of modalities and has received training in multi-level advanced trauma treatment, Complicated Grief Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and DBT Skills. She is skilled in treating a wide range of mood, depression, anxiety, and trauma related disorders. Rachel also has expertise in dissociative and personality disorders. She enjoys working with clients of all ages in individual, family, and group contexts. Rachel’s practice is rooted in compassion and collaboration with clients. She believes in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship as a foundation of change and personal growth.
